{"id":279,"date":"2025-11-23T07:09:24","date_gmt":"2025-11-23T07:09:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/114gravelrace.com\/?page_id=279"},"modified":"2026-03-22T22:09:01","modified_gmt":"2026-03-22T22:09:01","slug":"regulation","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/114gravelrace.com\/en\/reglamento\/","title":{"rendered":"Regulation"},"content":{"rendered":"<section>\n<h1>Regulation 114 Gravel Race -<br \/>\nUCI Gravel World Series 2026<\/h1>\n<h2>Organization and regulations<\/h2>\n<p>The 114 Gravel Race - UCI Gravel World Series 2026 is organized by EXTREMELY and is governed by the current regulations of the UCI, the Royal Spanish Cycling Federation (RFEC), the Portuguese Cycling Federation and by these special regulations.<\/p>\n<p>Registration in the race implies full acceptance of these regulations and the UCI Gravel World Series rules, as well as the decisions of the Technical Jury, whose verdicts are final.<\/p>\n<h2>2. General concept<\/h2>\n<p>The 114 Gravel Race is a one-day race in the format of the <strong>gravel<\/strong> which follows the spirit of the GR-114 and links two countries in a single day: departure in <strong>Elvas (Portugal)<\/strong> and goal in <strong>Badajoz (Spain)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The course is run individually, starting in boxes. There is a classification for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>UCI Elite<\/strong> (male and female).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Age Groups<\/strong> UCI Gravel World Series.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The route will be fully signposted and the official track will be provided in GPX format. The use of GPS is strongly recommended.<\/p>\n<h2>3. Official Program 2026<\/h2>\n<p>The program is detailed on the Program page of this website.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Thursday, March 26:<\/strong> Career office opening, chrono-climb to Fort Gracia, social ride and activities in Elvas.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Friday, March 27:<\/strong> Career office opening, social ride, activities in Badajoz and Elvas, and official briefing.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Saturday, March 28:<\/strong> transfers to the start, official start, arrival of the participants, podiums and closing of the race.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Schedules and activities may be adjusted for organizational or safety reasons. Any changes will be communicated at the official briefing, on the website and on social networks.<\/p>\n<h2>4. Admitted bicycles<\/h2>\n<p>The following bicycles are allowed, always in accordance with UCI Gravel World Series regulations:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Gravel.<\/li>\n<li>Cyclocross.<\/li>\n<li>Road.<\/li>\n<li>MTB rigid or double (without triathlon coupling bar).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>No electric bicycles or any type of mechanical assistance to pedaling are allowed. Any modification that contravenes the UCI regulations will result in disqualification.<\/p>\n<h2>6. Security measures<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Usage <strong>mandatory<\/strong> helmet during the entire event.<\/li>\n<li>It is recommended to wear gloves, goggles and clothing appropriate to the weather.<\/li>\n<li>It is mandatory to carry a charged cell phone, operative during the whole race.<\/li>\n<li>It is mandatory to carry basic repair material (inner tube, pump or cartridges, multi-tool).<\/li>\n<li>It is recommended to carry a small personal first aid kit.<\/li>\n<li>The race bib will include the organization's emergency telephone numbers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>7. Registration and fees<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Maximum quota:<\/strong> 600 participants.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Online registration<\/strong> through the official website.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>7.1. Periods and prices (Elite and Age Groups)<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Early Bird:<\/strong> 06\/12\/2025 - 31\/12\/2025 \u2192 50 \u20ac<\/li>\n<li><strong>Regular:<\/strong> 01\/01\/2026 - 20\/03\/2026 \u2192 60 \u20ac<\/li>\n<li><strong>Last Chance:<\/strong> 21\/03\/2026 - 23\/03\/2026 \u2192 70 \u20ac<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The above amounts do not include possible commissions of the payment platform.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Cycle touring route:<\/strong> 06\/12\/2025 - 23\/03\/2025 \u2192 30 \u20ac<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>7.2. Licenses and categories<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>UCI Elite:<\/strong> It is mandatory to have a valid UCI Elite license (season 2026), issued by the corresponding national federation. Without this license it is not possible to take the start in the Elite category or qualify for UCI points.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Age groups:<\/strong> male and female runners from 19 years old in 2026. They can participate with a valid competitive license or by acquiring one. <strong>one-day license<\/strong> at an additional cost of <strong>15\u00a0\u20ac<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>7.3. What is included in the registration<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Personalized race bib and timing chip.<\/li>\n<li>Route signaling and assistance at critical crossings.<\/li>\n<li>Solid and liquid refreshments en route and at the finish line.<\/li>\n<li>Medical and ambulance service during the race.<\/li>\n<li>Finish area with toilets, changing rooms and showers (subject to availability).<\/li>\n<li>Guarded bike racks at the exit\/goal area.<\/li>\n<li>Access to parallel activities and gravel environment during the weekend.<\/li>\n<li>Runner's bag with commemorative gifts (depending on the registration section).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>8. Bib number pick-up and verification<\/h2>\n<p>The collection of bibs will take place at the race office at the times indicated in the program. To pick up the race bib it will be necessary to present an official identity document and, in the case of federated riders, a valid UCI\/RFEC license.<\/p>\n<p>It will not be allowed to start the race without having completed the bib check and bib pick-up at the established times.<\/p>\n<h2>9. Bibs and chip<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Front bicycle bib with integrated timing chip.<\/li>\n<li>Back jersey bib.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It is mandatory to wear the bibs visibly and in the indicated place. Failure to comply may result in disqualification.<\/p>\n<h2>10. Exit boxes<\/h2>\n<p>Different starting boxes will be established in accordance with UCI regulations and classification criteria:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Elite UCI men.<\/li>\n<li>Women's UCI Elite.<\/li>\n<li>Age groups, ordered according to reference times and\/or UCI ranking.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Access to each box will be strictly controlled by the organization's staff and UCI commissaires.<\/p>\n<h2>11. Tours<\/h2>\n<p>The long course of the 114 Gravel Race 2026 will have approximately <strong>137 km<\/strong> y <strong>+1.370 m<\/strong> of positive elevation gain, linking Elvas and Badajoz on dirt tracks, farm roads and secondary roads with open traffic.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the long course, the event offers a <strong>short course<\/strong> of approximately <strong>67 km<\/strong> y <strong>+450 m<\/strong> of positive vertical drop, with the same gravel philosophy and designed for those who wish to live the experience with a more moderate physical demand.<\/p>\n<p>Both routes are provisional and may be subject to adjustments until the publication of the final official track. The route will be marked, but it is the responsibility of each participant to follow the official track that the organization will send by email and publish on the web during the week prior to the race.<\/p>\n<p>There will be checkpoints and cut-off points, which will be communicated in the briefing and on the official map of the course.<\/p>\n<h2>12. Refueling and technical areas<\/h2>\n<p>The organization will have liquid and solid refreshment stations along the course and at the finish line. The exact kilometer points will be indicated in the briefing and on the race map.<\/p>\n<p>Disposable cups will not be provided; each participant must carry his or her own can or container to collect the liquid.<\/p>\n<p>Technical areas will be set up for technical personnel and accredited assistants, in accordance with UCI regulations.<\/p>\n<h2>13. Mechanical assistance<\/h2>\n<p>The race will have mechanical assistance service at the start, intermediate points and finish line. Labor will be free, but the cost of parts or components must be paid by the participant.<\/p>\n<h2>14. Timing, cuts and control<\/h2>\n<p>The timing will be done by electronic chip. Failure to place the bib\/chip correctly may result in the absence of official times.<\/p>\n<p>Different cut-off points and a maximum time at the finish line (15:30 h) will be established. Details will be published in the briefing and on the race map.<\/p>\n<p>Participants who exceed the cut-off times may be diverted to an alternate route or officially withdrawn from the competition.<\/p>\n<h2>15. UCI classifications, categories and qualifiers<\/h2>\n<h3>15.1. Classifications<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>General classification Elite Men.<\/li>\n<li>General classification Elite women.<\/li>\n<li>UCI Age Group Rankings (male and female).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The official rankings will be drawn up according to the times recorded when crossing the finish line and will be published on the official panel and on the website.<\/p>\n<h3>15.2. UCI Gravel World Series Age Groups<\/h3>\n<p>Male and female categories (age as of December 31, 2026):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>19-34 years<\/li>\n<li>35-39 years<\/li>\n<li>40-44 years<\/li>\n<li>45-49 years<\/li>\n<li>50-54 years<\/li>\n<li>55-59 years old<\/li>\n<li>60-64 years old<\/li>\n<li>65+ years<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The race acts as a UCI Gravel World Series qualifying event. The allocation of places for the World Championship will be made according to the UCI rules in force (percentage of best classified riders in each age group).<\/p>\n<h3>15.3. Doping controls<\/h3>\n<p>Doping controls may be carried out under the jurisdiction of the UCI and the competent national agencies. Refusal to submit to a test will result in immediate disqualification and possible disciplinary proceedings.<\/p>\n<h2>16. Return Policy<\/h2>\n<p>The organization will apply the following common registration refund policy:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Up to 30 days before the test: 80 % of the amount refunded.<\/li>\n<li>From 29 to 15 days before the test: 50 %.<\/li>\n<li>From 14 to 8 days before the test: 25 %.<\/li>\n<li>From 7 days before the test: 0 %.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In case of postponement or suspension due to force majeure, the organization will communicate the options of refunding or transferring the registration to a new date.<\/p>\n<h2>17. Abandonment<\/h2>\n<p>Any participant who abandons the race must inform the organization through the emergency telephone numbers printed on the race bib or at the check points. In case of activation of a search device for not communicating the abandonment, the costs derived may be charged to the participant.<\/p>\n<h2>18. Liabilities and insurance<\/h2>\n<p>Each runner participates under his own responsibility. It is your duty to assess whether you are in physical and technical condition to complete the race.<\/p>\n<p>The organization has <strong>civil liability insurance<\/strong> and of <strong>sports accident insurance<\/strong> for registered participants, in accordance with current legislation.<\/p>\n<h2>19. Data protection and image<\/h2>\n<p>By registering, the participant authorizes the processing of his personal data for the sporting management of the event and the transfer of his image (photo and video) for information and promotional purposes of the 114 Gravel Race and the UCI Gravel World Series.<\/p>\n<h2>Environment<\/h2>\n<p>The race runs through natural areas of high ecological value. It is strictly forbidden to throw any type of waste outside the designated areas.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>It is mandatory to carry wrappers and waste to the refreshment points or finish line.<\/li>\n<li>It is forbidden to cut off the marked route.<\/li>\n<li>It is forbidden to damage crops, close gates or fence properties.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Failure to comply with these rules may result in immediate disqualification.<\/p>\n<h2>21. Penalties and grounds for disqualification<\/h2>\n<p>Among others, may lead to exclusion from the test:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Transit outside the marked route.<\/li>\n<li>Failure to heed the instructions of the organization or the UCI commissaires.<\/li>\n<li>Do not wear a helmet or remove it during the test.<\/li>\n<li>Failure to wear the regulation bibs or tampering with them.<\/li>\n<li>Unsportsmanlike conduct or conduct that is dangerous to other participants or to the public.<\/li>\n<li>Littering outside the designated areas.<\/li>\n<li>Failure to communicate the abandonment as established.<\/li>\n<li>Refusal to perform an anti-doping control.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Happy 114th Gravel Race - Two countries, one race!<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/section>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Reglamento 114 Gravel Race \u2013 UCI Gravel World Series 2026 1.
